Anthera Pharmaceuticals Announces Pricing of $31.5 Million PIPE Financing

Anthera Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ANTH), announced that it has entered into definitive agreements with certain accredited investors in connection with a private placement, or PIPE, financing transaction pursuant to Section 4(2) of the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and Regulation D promulgated thereunder. Upon the closing of the transaction, Anthera will receive gross proceeds of approximately $31.5 million in exchange for the issuance to such investors of 10,500,000 units, with each unit consisting of one share of Anthera common stock and one warrant to purchase 0.40 shares of Anthera common stock.
