According to recent research from Valdivia, Chile, "The objective of the current study was to compare the digestible energy (DE) contents of maize, oats and alfalfa meal between European wild boar (Sus scrofa L.) and the domestic pig (S. scrofa domesticus, Landrace x Large White). Six pure wild boar (S. scrofa L.) and six domestic pigs (Landrace x Large White) with liveweights (mean +/- S.E.M.) of 26 +/- 0.6 and 21 +/- 1.1 kg, respectively, were fed diets at a daily level of 0.10 x metabolic body weight (W-0.75)."
