Studies from M. Kumar et al Provide New Data on Computer Modelling
June 2nd, 2011
"Singular perturbation problems are of common occurrence in all branches of applied mathematics and engineering," scientists writing in the journal Mathematical and Computer Modelling report. "These problems are encountered in various fields such as solid mechanics, fluid dynamics, quantum mechanics, optimal control, chemical reactor theory, aerodynamics, reaction-diffusion processes, geophysics etc," wrote M. Kumar and colleagues. The researchers concluded: "In this paper, the basic methods and literature for solving the singular perturbation problems have been presented with their comparative study."
