• Types of Search [Top]
  The difference between these four options is apparent in the following example:
  
  
  • All Terms - This option is used by default, and returns any articles that contain all terms you enter. For example, searching for the term Heart Disease will return any article that has the word Heart and the word Disease anywhere in it - not necessarily side-by-side to form the phrase heart disease.
    
    
  • Any Term - If this option is selected, searching for a term such as Lung Cancer would return articles related to Lung Cancer as expected, but it would also return any article related to the term Lung (e.g. Lung Disease, etc.) or the term Cancer (e.g. Skin Cancer, etc.).
    
    
  • Phrase - This option differs by searching for articles with the entire phrase in it. Using the previous example's term, it would find only articles with the entire phrase "Lung Cancer" in it.
    
    
  • Exact Match - If you know the exact title or subject of the article you're looking for, this option will allow you to more quickly find the article(s) by returning results that have a title or subject matching your search term exactly.

  • Summary - If this option is selected, the first 250 characters of each articles will be displayed.
    
    
  • Search Word(s) Excerpt - Instead of the first 250 characters of the article, the content displayed with each article will be the block of text surrounding your search word(s).
